Your Reflection

God has told me my word to focus on this year is rest. I’ve been able to cut out adderall and nicotine and I’m feeling healthier than I have in a long time. I’m focusing on getting enough sleep and today I woke up before my alarm clock for the first time in ages. Feeling focused, balanced and at peace

TFJ's Insight

Insight/Reflection: It’s truly inspiring to hear about the progress you’ve made in prioritizing rest and taking care of your physical and spiritual health. By letting go of harmful habits and focusing on self-care, you are allowing God’s peace to fill your life. Remember that rest is not just physical, but also spiritual – finding peace in God’s presence is the ultimate rest for our souls.

Verse to Memorize: Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. – Matthew 11:28 Application: This verse reminds us that true rest can only be found in God. When we come to Him with our burdens and worries, He promises to give us the peace and rest that our souls long for.

Verse to Uphold: In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. – Psalm 4:8 Application: Just as the psalmist found safety and peace in God’s presence, may you also find rest in knowing that God is watching over you and keeping you safe. Trust in His protection as you rest in Him.

Verse to Seek: He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. – Psalm 23:2-3 Application: God desires to lead us to places of peace and rest, where our souls can be refreshed. Allow Him to guide you to stillness and tranquility, where you can find true rest in His presence.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I lift up this dear soul to You, who has shown such dedication in prioritizing rest and self-care. May Your peace continue to fill their heart and mind, guiding them to deeper levels of rest in Your presence. Grant them strength to continue on this path of healing and restoration, knowing that You are their ultimate source of rest and peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
