Making space to be more

Faith and Commitment: Today, I’m reflecting on the balance between my desire to engage in Bible study leadership and the uncertainties that come with it. “Today, I’m reflecting on how I feel about attending Bible study tonight, which I don’t feel particularly excited about. It’s only once a month, and I struggle with consistency. I’m considering becoming a Bible Study leader but am unsure about my schedule and commitment levels, especially with travel and plans. I’m also excited about organizing my home, which has been a fun project involving friends, and I have goals for decluttering my closets.”

Scripture for Reflection

  1. Peace in Decision-Making: Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
This verse reminds you to bring your concerns about commitment and scheduling to God in prayer, trusting that He will provide peace as you seek His guidance.

  2. God’s Guidance: Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
This scripture encourages you to place your trust in God as you consider leading a Bible study. He will guide your decisions and help align your commitments with His plans.

  3. Strength in Community: Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (NIV)
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.”
This verse highlights the importance of community and co-leadership in your journey. Having a co-leader can alleviate concerns about commitment and provide support.

Custom Prayer

“Heavenly Father, I come before You with a heart full of thoughts and concerns. I seek Your wisdom as I consider becoming a Bible Study leader. Please help me navigate my schedule and commitments, and grant me the clarity to understand Your will for my life. I also ask for Your guidance in my home organization projects, that they may bring joy and functionality. Thank You for the friends who support me in these endeavors. May I trust in Your plans and find peace in my decisions. Amen.”
