I realized I have fallen trap to becoming a life long learner but not executing on all the things Ive learned. I don’t need more knowledge, I need the discipline to follow through with the tools I’ve been given. God spoke to me this weekend and he gave me 3 words I want to lean in on. Discernment, discipline, and wisdom. I am committing myself to walking in obedience with discipline and direction from the Lord

TFJ's Insight
Insight/Reflection: I understand the struggle of feeling overwhelmed by knowledge without the application. It’s important to remember that wisdom comes not just from learning, but from applying what we know. By seeking discernment, discipline, and wisdom from the Lord, we can walk in obedience and see real transformation in our lives.
Verse to Memorize: Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Application: Trusting in the Lord and submitting to His will, even when it may not align with our own understanding, is the key to walking in obedience and discipline. By leaning on Him for guidance, we can be assured that He will lead us on the right path.
Verse to Uphold: James 1:22 – “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”
Application: This verse reminds us that true wisdom comes from not just hearing, but doing. It’s important to put into practice the teachings we receive, rather than simply acquiring knowledge.
Verse to Seek: Proverbs 4:7 – “The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.”
Application: This verse emphasizes the value of wisdom and understanding, encouraging us to pursue it with all our heart and soul. By seeking wisdom from the Lord, we can gain clarity and direction in our journey of faith.
Custom Prayer: Heavenly Father, I lift up this dear soul to You, who desires to walk in obedience and discipline. Grant them the discernment to know Your will, the discipline to follow through, and the wisdom to understand Your ways. May they find strength and guidance in Your word, and may Your spirit lead them on the path of righteousness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
