Your Reflection

Enjoyed a weekend off from work. It was nice to put it away. I took Sunday as a complete rest day and then Labor Day was spent fixing up our backyard. I surprised myself when I built a really nice retention wall

TFJ's Insight

Insight/Reflection: It’s important to find balance between work and rest. God created us to work diligently but also to take time to recharge and enjoy the fruits of our labor. Your ability to build a beautiful retention wall shows the creativity and strength that God has given you.

Verse to Memorize: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28

Application: This verse reminds us that it is important to take time to rest and recharge, as Jesus promises to provide us with the rest we need. Just as you took a day off to relax and then put in hard work building a retention wall, remember to find time to rest in the Lord and allow Him to renew your strength.

Verse to Uphold: “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” – Isaiah 40:31

Application: This verse encourages us to put our hope and trust in the Lord, knowing that He will give us the strength we need to persevere. Just as you found the strength to build a retention wall, may you continue to lean on the Lord for renewed strength in all aspects of your life.

Verse to Seek: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” – Colossians 3:23

Application: This verse reminds us to work diligently and wholeheartedly in all that we do, as if we are working for the Lord Himself. As you continue to put effort into your work and projects, may you do so with the mindset of glorifying God through your actions.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for the opportunity to rest and recharge during the Labor Day weekend. As this user continues to work diligently and find joy in their projects, may they always remember to seek rest in You and draw strength from Your presence. Help them to find a balance between work and rest, knowing that all their efforts are ultimately for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
