I am stressed about my job

Published On: July 4, 2025.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re feeling stressed about your job. Remember that you are not alone in feeling this way, and it’s important to take care of yourself during challenging times. Here are some verses that may bring you comfort and guidance:

Verse to Memorize:
Philippians 4:6 – “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

Application: This verse reminds us to bring our worries and concerns to God in prayer, trusting that He will provide peace and guidance in difficult situations. Take time to pray and surrender your job-related stress to Him.

Verse to Uphold:
Isaiah 41:10 – “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Application: God promises to be with us and support us in times of trouble. Lean on His strength and trust that He will uphold you through the challenges you are facing at work.

Verse to Seek:
Matthew 11:28-30 – “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Application: Jesus invites us to come to Him when we are feeling overwhelmed and burdened. Seek rest and peace in His presence, knowing that He offers comfort and relief from the stresses of work.

Let’s pray: Dear Lord, I lift up this individual who is feeling stressed about their job. Grant them peace and strength to navigate through this challenging time. Help them to trust in Your guidance and find rest in Your presence. Amen.
