Journal Entry Reflection
Struggles and Gratitude:
Today, I’m reflecting on…
I’m feeling under the weather and a bit disheartened by my lack of motivation to clean the house and get organized as the year wraps up. However, I’m thankful that my sickness isn’t worsening. I’m also reflecting on the success of the recent calendar workshop, where we made meaningful connections and inspired many. Looking ahead, I’m excited about growing the coworker group in 2025 and helping 14 families achieve their real estate goals. Yet, I struggle with feeling territorial and have made snarky remarks to those close to me, realizing I need to show more love and grace.
Scripture for Reflection
Finding Strength in Weakness:
2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)
“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
This verse reminds us that even in our weakness, God’s grace is sufficient, allowing us to find strength and purpose despite our challenges.
Encouragement in Gratitude:
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIV)
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
This passage encourages us to maintain a spirit of gratitude, even when we feel overwhelmed, reminding us to focus on the positive aspects of our lives.
Love and Grace:
Ephesians 4:32 (NIV)
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
This verse calls us to practice kindness and compassion, especially toward those we care about, helping us to overcome feelings of territoriality and snarkiness.
Custom Prayer
“Heavenly Father, we come before You with open hearts, acknowledging our struggles and our gratitude. Thank You for the blessings of connection and the successes we experience. Help us to find strength in our weakness and to show love and grace to those around us. Guide us as we work towards our goals and help us to maintain a spirit of thankfulness. May Your grace empower us to be kind and compassionate. Amen.”
