Bible Verse: Hebrews 12:1 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” Application: This verse inspires us to live purposefully and conscientiously by shedding what weighs us down, especially sins and distractions. The “great cloud of witnesses” are the examples of faith we have in the scripture; these give us encouragement to faithful endurance. You’re encouraged to focus on your personal “race,” following God’s path for your life with persistence and determination. Let’s Pray: Dear God, I am grateful for the encouragement You’ve given me through Your Word and the examples of faith. Help me to remove anything in my life that may get in the way of following Your will. Strengthen my resolve to run with perseverance and useless efficiency the race You have set before me. Grant me the endurance and faith to reach forward each day towards the goal You have prepared for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
