When Things Don’t Go As Planned 01/09/2025

Published On: January 9, 2025.

When things don’t go your way or as you had planned, it’s important to turn to scripture for comfort and guidance. Here are a couple of verses and a prayer that may help:

**Scripture for Reflection**

1. **Peace in Prayer: Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)**
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
This verse encourages us to bring our worries to God, reminding us that He will provide peace even in difficult circumstances.

2. **Hope and Future: Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)**
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
This verse reassures us that even when things don’t go as planned, God has a good purpose for our lives.

**Custom Prayer**
“Heavenly Father, we come before You with open hearts, seeking Your wisdom and comfort. When our plans do not unfold as we hoped, help us to trust in Your divine wisdom. Grant us the peace that surpasses all understanding, and remind us of the hope and future You have promised us. Help us to lean on You during these times of uncertainty, and may we find encouragement in Your Word. Amen.”

If there’s anything else going on in your life that we could pray for, please let me know. Your journey matters, and I’m here to support you with scripture and prayer.
