Journal Entry Reflection
Focus and Guidance: Balancing business goals with the spirit of Christmas.
“Today, I’m reflecting on the busy holiday season and the challenge of outlining my business goals for the upcoming year while trying to remain centered on the essence of Christmas. It’s easy to get caught up in work and the hustle of the season, but I am grateful for my friend Mykal who encouraged me to read the Bible with him and pray. This time together provided a much-needed reset amidst the busyness. As I plan for next year, I am seeking God’s guidance to show me where He needs me.”
Scripture for Reflection
Seeking Guidance: Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
This verse encourages you to trust in God’s plan and seek His guidance as you outline your goals for the new year.
Finding Peace in Prayer: Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
This scripture reminds you to bring your concerns and plans to God in prayer, allowing His peace to guard your heart during this busy season.
Hope for the Future: Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
A powerful reminder that God has good plans for you, filled with hope and purpose, as you navigate your business aspirations.

“Heavenly Father, we come before You with open hearts, seeking Your wisdom and comfort. Thank You for the gift of friendship and the opportunity to reset our focus on You during this busy season. As I outline my goals for the coming year, I ask for Your guidance in every step I take. Help me to keep my eyes on the true meaning of Christmas and to trust in Your plans for my future. May Your peace fill my heart, and may I find strength and clarity in Your Word. Amen.”
