“We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.”
This week's action:
Action:
Find one meaningful act of service to do this week that flows from your faith and is fueled by love — not obligation. This could be helping a neighbor, supporting a coworker, or giving your time to someone in need. Make it something that will cost you a little time or energy, because that’s where it becomes real.
How:
Pray first, asking God to put someone specific on your heart who needs encouragement, help, or relief. Once you have that person in mind, plan exactly how you’ll serve them — whether it’s bringing a meal, offering to help with a task, or simply giving them your undivided attention. Let your motivation be love, not recognition.
Reminder:
Faith is not meant to stay in your head or heart — it’s meant to move your hands and feet. Love is the fuel, hope is the endurance, and faith is the spark. Every time you live this out, you’re writing a story of God’s goodness in someone else’s life, whether they realize it or not.
Although it was the blood of Christ that punched our ticket to the heavenly Kingdom and not our acts, we will still be judged by our fruits. I can tell you from my experience through growing my faith that I never had to quit my sins, but they just became less desirable as my faith grew and my love for my Father outweighed my sinful desires. Not that I don’t fall down time to time but there’s no shame in- just get up and get back in the fight. Same with works, I pray most days for opportunities and the Holy Spirit lays them out. I pray for eyes that see and ears that hear the will of God in my life daily.
